    Default Caption file from S3

    Hi

Trying to set this up on an EC2 instance, but get an error:-
java.io.IOException: MediaCacheRandomAccessReader.open: Item not in cache:
when wowza tries to open the ttml file.

The file is in the same locations (S3) as the videos. (2 bitrates in separate folders)

    Server is looking locally:-

    VODTimedTextProviderBase.indexTimedText using file:/usr/local/WowzaMediaServer/content/amazons3/b...

How do I get this to work? (i.e. use same location as video)

    Many Thanks
    Huw

Sorry I think this is the same issue as reported here

    http://www.wowza.com/forums/showthre...les-MediaCache

    But I didn't appreciate that mediacache = s3.

I can't see any answers in that thread though.

This should be fixed in the current patch:

    Thanks Richard,

Any idea when this is likely to get released to ami?

(Have you had chance to look at the ftp issue I reported in a different thread? )

It is not working in my test. I will have to get back to you.

In any case, it is possible to patch an EC2 instance, just be careful about the files in the patche's /conf folder. The current patch only has VHost.xml to be concerned about. You should review that, use the new one but remake your configuration changes and any EC2 specific changes.
