    Default Loadbalancer + bitrate switching with JWplayer v6

    Hi everyone,

    I need some help, please.

    I use Amazon EC2 with Wowza Server 3.5.2 to broadcast sporting events live streaming.

    My configuration : one Origin server and several edge servers with load balancing by using the redirection based on the least loaded server (I use the http method: http://[load-balancer-ip-address]:1935/loadbalancer, which returns "redirect=[edge-ip]").

    On the client side, I use a jwplayer in version 5, which loads a playlist where I indicates the flow depending on the screen size and speed of internet connection on the client PC.

    Here's the playlist (/conf/streamname_playlist.xml):

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <rss version="2.0" xmlns:media=""xmlns:jwplayer="">
    <title>Web Live - Bitrate Switching - Livestream</title>
    <description>Bitrate Switching using the RTMP protocol from a Wowza RTMP server.</description>
    <media:content bitrate="1000" url="streamname" width="1280" />
    <media:content bitrate="800" url="streamname" width="1024" />
    <media:content bitrate="500" url="streamname" width="480" />
    <media:content bitrate="350" url="streamname" width="360" />
    <media:thumbnail url="/images/player.jpg" />

    Here is the script on my web server:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="../player/mediaplayer_5.10.3190/swfobject-2.2.js"></script>
    <div id='case_0'>
    <a href="">TÚlÚchargez Adobe Flash Player </a>

    <script type="text/javascript">
    var flashvars = {
    'duration': '0',
    'stretching': 'uniform',
    'controlbar': 'true'
    var params = {
    'allowfullscreen': 'true',
    'allowscriptaccess': 'always'
    var attributes = {
    'id': 'jwplayer',
    'name': 'jwplayer'
    swfobject.embedSWF('../player/mediaplayer_5.10.3190/player.swf','case_0','640','480','9.0.115','false', flashvars, params, attributes );

    This works correctly. But ..

    I would like to migrate my jwplayer in version 6, but I do not understand how to manage the playlist that allows me to grow with the right flow rates.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thank you
    Best regards,
