    Default jwplayer values for RTMP feed in an origin/edge configuration

    We've set up Wowza with an origin and load-balanced edges.

    I can make the stream play with the test RTMP player :
    (Wowza Media Systems/Wowza Media Server 3.5.2/examples/LiveVideoStreaming/FlashRTMPPlayer/player.html)

    Using the following:
    Server: rtmp://[wowza-edge-address]:1935/liveedge
    Stream: rtmp://[wowza-origin-address]:1935/liveorigin/_definst_/[stream-name]

    Given that I wish to play the stream from the edge server, do I pass both of these values to jwplayer ? If so, how ?

    I can see that the config should be:

    sources: [{
    file: "..."

    But I don't understand how I get the two fields into a single jwplayer parameter.

    Hi Matt,

    You will need to use the NetConnection redirect method. JWPlayer has built in support for this, so there is no configuration needed in the player, but you do need to set up an application on the LoadBalancer Listener to handle the redirect.

    Have a look at the section in the LoadBalancer/Readme.html for setting up the Netconnection redirect application.

    Thanks salvadore - I'll look into that.
    For now it seems I can just pass in
    rtmp://<edgeIP>:1935/liveedge/<stream name>
