Thread: RTMP Security over SSL while pushing from encoder

Default RTMP Security over SSL while pushing from encoder

We have implemented RTMPAuthenticate on our Wowza server and send a username/password while pushing our streams from Wirecast/FMLE.
How is this password sent to Wowza? Over RTMP/UDP port 1935? As plain text?
Can we secure this using SSL?

    Hi there,

The password is digest authentication, over RTMP
