Default Unable to play 3gp video file using wowza media server 3.1

    Hi

I am building a location based server application for mobile devices and need to render 3gp file as well to mobile user.
However when I am trying to play 3gp file, only audio is coming no video. Any suggestions ? Wowza manual says 3gp is a supported media format.

    Hi there,

    What is the video codec?
The 3gp container is supported as long as the video codec is h264.

    Hi there,
Does it work if you use the Flash RTMP example player?
For mobile you need to use a profile of baseline.

Have a look at the mobile example here:

Also take a look at this article, there is a link to a mobile test you can try:

    Hi

Can you provide me a sample 3gp file with H.264 video codec. I am about to purchase wowza media server but unless I test whether 3gp works or not , I will not be able to make a decision.I tried using ffmpeg to convert a media file to H.264 3gp file but is not successful so far. It gives error

.3gp is a quicktime container like .mp4 .mov and others. What really matters is the codec of the video and audio tracks. Take a look at the Video on Demand Encoding article. If you need this for playback on mobile devices, there is an example for that

And take a look at the Mobile Test

You can download this file mentioned in the encoding guide for testing
