Thread: Live stream name question

  1. #1

    Default Live stream name question

According to the "How to" for streaming a live encoder using RTSP you put a file in the content directory called <somename>.stream. Then when you access a stream the URL looks like.... rtmp://<ip>/live/<somename>.stream.

The question is.... does the stream name require a .stream on the end? Could I just put <somename> in the content dir and leave off the .stream?

One way to accomplish that would be to look at our StreamNameAlias AddOn

You could define your rtsp address in the aliasmap.stream.txt versus using the .stream file.
