    hi guys,
Im trying to check why sometimes my video encounters "pixelized". my source is ok since i tried checking it, i only encouter this when it pass thru my wowza server. is there any tweak i can do on the transcode.xml? i tried changing the frame rate but when i check the output on vlc i still get 59+ frame rate.

    TIA

    Hi Jeff,

Can you please explain your set up a little more:

    1) What version of Wowza are you running?
    2) What are the server specs?
    3) What is the video codec of the source?
    4) Is there a lot of movement happening in the video? Camera movement or other?

an you please explain your set up a little more:

My setup is very simple, all my source are coming from a EMR (Enhanced Media Router)

    EMR--a--WowzaServer---b-----

test point a - no pixel encountered
test point b - encountered frequent pixelization

    1) What version of Wowza are you running?
    WowzaMediaServer-3.6.2

    2) What are the server specs?
    Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-4607 0 @ 2.20GHz
    48 Core
    64GB RAM

    3) What is the video codec of the source?
from test point a i have this info on the vlc
    video
    codec: mpeg-1/2 (mpgv)
    resolution: 720x780
    frame rate:59.940059

    audio
    mpeg audio layer1/2/3 (mpga
    mono
    sample rate:48000Hz
    Bitrate:192kb/s

    4) Is there a lot of movement happening in the video? Camera movement or other?
Theres only a basic movement on the video, basically these are local tv channels.

Can you tell us what Enhanced Media Router you are using?

Does the box you are using have the capability to output to h.264?
