    Default RTMPS not working

    Hi guys,
    just setting up rtmps and i cannot play it using the player on the examples. I followed the tutorial but it seems the rtmps is not working on me.

    Are you using the streamlock url provided? What does your playback url look like? Please send your conf/ & logs/ directories to support@wowza.com for additional configuration review along with your stream lock information (IP & url).

    hi matt_y,
    yes the file i downloaded when i apply the ssl certificate. im using the player under /examples. i will send all the info right now.

    hi guys,
    seems its working now except for ios devices? how can i test on my safari? it goes directly to itunes when i open the link.

    Hi,

    If you are talking about testing iOS streams using Safari on the Mac, to do this, you need to create an html page with a video tag. The Wowza HLS url is set in the src field in the tag.

    <video src="https://[streamlock-hostname]/vod/mp4:sample.mp4/playlist.m3u8" controls />
    You cannot use the HLS url in the desktop browser address bar directly.

    Note: iPad running iOS 6+ requires controls for the video tag to work.

    Hi guys,
    It worked using streamlock.net cert, but when i created my own cert it doesnt work. also on the alias wowza what will be the password? or this should be a created account on the server?
