Default Time-based alighnment of adaptive live streaming renditions

    Dear All,

We have some encoders output multiple renditions of stream via TS@UDP and the keyframes are aligned for each rendition. But it may send those data to Wowza with delays ranging from 1 seconds to 3 seconds which result in not aligned segmentation. Is there a mechanism to segment the data based on the timestamp of each rendition?

I don't think there is a solution to ensure alignment mpeg-ts udp sources. The best solution is use the highest quality stream as the source for the Wowza Transcoder, to guarantee key frame alignment of each rendition

Doesn't Wowza Transcoder have exactly the same issue? No way to work around? It's pretty critical to get those renditions aligned.

Using the Wowza Transcoder you only need on live stream, the highest quality one. Wowza transrates that source into multiple bitrate renditions, and these will all be key frame aligned
