    Referring to the Closed Caption for Live Streaming article, there is an example Wowza application module that inserts onTextData into a live stream.

    This example just inserts onTextData server-side. You might use this as a reference to create a Flash app, a controller that allows viewing of the live stream and interactive feature to add captions. It could be done with an HTTPProvider, but Flash would allow a view of the live stream along-side caption controls. I would suggest a NetStream.bufferLength of 0 for playback sto reduce latency as much as possible so captions are inserted as close to where they are intended as possible.
