    Default Per channel licensing

ON the addon pricing page, the price for Transcoder is listed as "per channel".
What exactly is meant by "channel"? A single stream or an application?

    Hello,

    Good question.

A channel is a single inbound source stream received by Wowza Transcoder for transcoding. We simply count the maximum number of source streams going into the Transcoder at any given time. It is important to note that channels are counted concurrently and are not counted as a sum total. The channels are calculated based on the greatest number of concurrent incoming source streams being transcoded at any time during your billing period.

Be sure and take a look at our FAQs page for answers to other questions like this.
