Thread: FlowPlayer + Stopping Wowza server mid-stream for live

Default FlowPlayer + Stopping Wowza server mid-stream for live

FlowPlayer does not fire an onError event if I'm watching a live stream and I stop the wowza service mid-stream. FlowPlayer's support person said that they cannot throw an error mid-stream on the player for live and that the streaming server will usually send an event code or error code if the server is stopped. They said that I can add a custom event to handle this if I knew what the streaming server was sending as an error code or event error.

Can you tell me if Wowza sends an error or message to the client in the case that the streaming server is stopped while watching a live stream?

I need this to support failover to a backup server. Thanks.
