    Default Wowza streams - latency tolerance

    Hello,

    I am checking to see if wowza streams (over rtmp) will work if network latency between Origin and Edge is about 220ms

    Thanks,

    I believe by default there is a 12 second default value before it times out connecting to the origin from the edge, so you should be fine. If you want to modify that value you can add the following to your edge:

    Add this Property to /conf/[edge-app-name]/Application.xml /MediaCaster /Properties list:
    <Property>
    	<Name>streamTimeout</Name>
    	<Value>[time-in-millesconds]</Value>
    	<Type>Integer</Type>
    </Property>

    Hello Matt,

    Thank you for your response.

    I am wondering if something is available to handle latency between encoder and Origin server.

    Thanks,
    Sunil
