Default iOS 7 H264 Hardware Encoder

    Hi Guys,

We are using a commercial hardware encoder SDK which was great until iOS 7. A few days back Apple released iOS 7 Gold Master seed. Now it seems the encoder is broken on iOS 7, I also tested the Wowza GoCoder and that is also not working. Does that mean, iOS 7 blocked the hardware encoder ?

We contacted the original SDK developer, he said he is not sure and trying to find the fix.

Anyone using other methods which are working fine with iOS 7.0 ?

    Thanks,

We have tested a preliminary release of iOS7 and found the application appears to work, however, you may be on a different release and/or device. iOS7 isn't something we can officially support since it isn't publicly released but please do report any errors with GoCoder to support@wowza.com and be sure to include console output from the device.

Yes, the underlying encoder stream has changed in iOS 7. We fixed that in our app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/livehd/id657760383?mt=8

It is working good on iOS 7 gold master release. We tested it. If you have any queries regarding this issue, feel free to contact me at , contact at streamsack.com

Thanks apple_stream. your application seems working. The stream appears good from Wowza. Sent an email to you.
