Smile VOD RTMP via EC2 & S3 - Does seeking (time-shifting/skipping ahead) work?

    Hello,

We would like to create a Wowza instance on Amazon EC2. We would like to RTMP stream MP4 files from our S3 bucket.

If we do this, could a user seek, or time-shift/skip-ahead in the video?

    Default

Yes, seek works in vod playback whether from local files or from S3 bucket using MediaCache. The "vods3" application on a default Wowza EC2 AMI is a MediaCache application that you can configure to stream from your S3 bucket.
