    Default Optimal key frame interval in Wirecast vs KeyFrameInterval in transrate.xml

    What is the recommended key frame setting in Wirecast and how does this correspond to the KeyFrameInterval setting in transrate.xml?

    If I set Wirecast to 25 FPS and Key frame every 50 frames, should I similarly set the Interval in transrate.xml til 50?

    Hi,
    If you make those settings in Wirecast then the keyframe rate set there will be used in the Wowza Transcoder
    as long as you set
    <KeyFrameInterval>
    <FollowSource>true</FollowSource>

    which is the default in the transrate.xml template file.

    If you set the FollowSource to false then that will allow you to set a different custom interval below that.
    You'll find detailed info in the template section of this Transcoder setup guide.
