Default NVidia hardware acceleration is NOT available

    Hi

I have a Nvidia Tesla K20M running on a Dell R720. Latest tesla drivers running from NVIDIA.com (http://www.nvidia.com/download/drive...px/72191/en-us)

    - Windows server 2012 (8.0)
    - I have .net 3.5 installed and enabled desktop experience

Transcoding goes well on default, but not NVENC or CUDA - GPID=-1

    Log:
    2014-01-10 20:18:44 CET comment server INFO 200 - JNI:TranscoderSession.isCUDAAvailable[_defaultVHost_:app_sd/_definst_/chan1_sd.stream]: NVidia hardware acceleration is NOT available - - - 36.552 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Anything else I need to check ?

    Hi,

Are you running Wowza as a service? This has been an issue in the past with NVENC integration. Take a look at this article:

Running as stand alone, not service.

Having not seen your configuration or logs, it would seem that this is not a Wowza configuration issue. I would expect you're setup correctly on the Wowza side.

I am curious if there is a compatibility issue on Windows 2012 using these drivers. NVIDIA mentions Windows 8.1, and also advises that this is the "initial release" of this driver services - seems like a strong indication that these drivers are fairly new. Do you have any other driver options?

We are running wowza 3.6.3. As i said the config works fine when i set default in the transcoder template.

I will test older drivers to check.
