    Default Configuring directory locations (content and applications)

    Hi,

    I would like to keep the installation of Wowza separate from (Wowza) applications and contents. (Due to version control and deployment reasons.)

    For applications/ and content/ this can be done by creating symlinks, but that's not possible to do for conf/[application]/Application.xml, since conf/ contains many files belonging to the Wowza installation. Is it possible to configure where Wowza looks for these files?

    Ideally I would like to tell Wowza that contents is in, e.g. /var/srv/wowza/content, application directories are in /var/srv/wowza/applications, and Application.xml files are at /var/srv/wowza/conf/[application]/Application.xml. Is this possible to do?

    In your setenv.sh script, you can define this by changing the following:

    WMSCONFIG_HOME=/path/to/new/conf

    Thanks for the answer. But in that case I will need to copy all the existing files in [install-dir]/conf to that new location, right? If so, I guess there is not really a good way to separate the Wowza media server config from our application configs.
