Thread: publish.password need

    Default publish.password need

Hi there ... I'd like to understand why GoCoder requires the publish.password file to be set on server side, and username/password configured on the encoder side
Any way to simplify that without password, like FMLE is used and no password is required?

    Thanks for any clarification

    Hi,
Wowza GoCoder uses RTSP protocol, in the Application.xml file the RTP/Authentication/PublishMethod is "digest" by default.
Change this to be none and the application will no longer require a password to publish using RTSP.
    <PublishMethod>none</PublishMethod>
After editing the Application.xml, the server will have to be restarted for the changes to take effect.

    I thought it used RTMP

    Thanks!!
