Default Reduction in bitrate while Live restreaming

    Hi,

I am running Wowza in an AWS instance. I am restreaming a 1280 .sdp stream using Wowza and i have some queries. It seems like the bitrate is low in the restreamed video. Why is it so? Can i maintain the same bitrate in the restreamed video ?

    Default

It could be that the encoder is dropping the bitrate to compensate for the available bandwidth. You could check the settings in the encoder to make sure "auto adjust" or equivalent is not set to degrade the quality.

Wowza reflects the source stream, it will not modify bitrate on its own.
