    Default WMSCONFIG_HOME Variable Problems

    Hi

    I did installed Wowza media server 2.2.4 in my PC (Windows 7 32-bit) but it cannot run start wowza and show error message : The WMSCONFIG_HOME environment variable is missing or not defined correctly (C:/pathtohomefolder...) This environment variable is needed to run the server.

    But i got installed Java jdk7 (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/ja...s-1880260.html) found it still cannot run.

    please help.

    Thanks

    A few things to try:

    1: un-install everything again, Wowza and especially the Java console. Then re-install Wowza and the java JDK from here (make sure to get the 32bit version):
    Java downloads

    2: Edit your environment variables and change:

    WMSAPP_HOME=C:\wowza2\
    WMSCONFIG_HOME=C:\wowza2\

    to (remove trailing slash):

    WMSAPP_HOME=C:\wowza2
    WMSCONFIG_HOME=C:\wowza2

    3: update to the latest version of Wowza:
    Wowza 4.0.1
