Default Silverlight players have some sort of native DVR?

While testing some live Silverlight broadcasts using Expression players, I find there is some sort of native DVR possibility even without nDVR Wowza turned on, is this right?
I must say, it does not work very well at all though. In fact, most times trying to time shift it just locks the player and if you hit stop, then play again you find problems.. sometimes I have got lucky and have actually been able to skip 30 seconds or so.
I would like to actually turn the players time shift off because it is so poor.

Testing the BlackGlass player myself, I don't think these players support Wowza nDVR playback as-is. They can be modified in Visual Studio or Expression Blend, but the Wowza nDVR Silverlight example would be a better starting place.
