Thread: Android App

    Default Android App

Any news on an Android version of the app? It's pretty weird that there isn't an app for the mobile OS with by far the biggest market share. Show us some love.

    Hi,
An Android version is in the works, and should be coming soon.

Live Streaming with GoCoder Use Wowza® GoCoder™ to broadcast HD-quality live events using H.264 adaptive bitrate streaming. GoCoder lets you stream live audio and video directly from an iOS or Android device to any screen over WiFi, 4G, or 3G.

Why do you say it is available on Android. So frustrating. Please get it on android.

I was excited to finally see this available. Then I tried to use it and it doesn't work. I've tested it on both my Nexus 7 tablet and my Moto X phone. I've tried disabling authentication in Wowza and it still won't work. I hit the red record button and nothing happens. The stop button appears but the timer never starts and the stream never works when I try and test it in the manager. So bummed. At least it was only a buck. Hopefully you guys can get it to work.

I'm looking through some logs and I'm getting an "[install-location]/applications is missing" error.

    Hi,
    Sorry to hear that.
Can you please let us know us what your GoCoder configuration settings are?
Also, what's the exact Android OS version on each of the devices?

-My server configuration is on port 80 and it's Wowza Streaming Manager 4.0.3. Video settings are 1280x720. Application is called live.
    -Android 4.4.2 on both devices.

I just noticed something in the Stream Manager. The URL when I'm in an application is as follows..

    http://[IP-ADDRESS]:8088/enginemanag...ive/live/main/

Is there supposed to be two instances of the term "live" in the URL? The only reason I ask if because I was getting the "[install-location]/applications is missing" error and didn't know if this had something to do with it.
