Wowza, ModuleLoopUntilLive, HTTP mobile streaming

Hello,

How can I configure a pre-recorded video to play in loop until the live video stream for mobile users using http streaming on IOS/Android devices? At the moment, mobile user’s can’t view the pre-recorded video until we broadcast live.

See below setup:

Users can currently view pre-recorded video using they web browsers on their computer. This is automatically replaced by the live video. However, mobile users can NOT view the pre-recorded video.

Ade,

What mobile clients are a problem? What playback client is working, is Flash RTMP player? What is the encoding of the file that is not playing? If the audio is mp3, that is a problem on most or all Android devices. For iOS clients, if the audio is mp3, the sample rate should be encoded at 44100Hz, we have have found.

Hi,

Try testing with Wowza’s sample.mp4. And take a look at the encoding suggestions in this article.

Richard

Thanks Richard,

Both IOS and Andriod do NOT play pre-recorded video (mp4). We use HTTP streaming on mobile and RTMP on desktop. What we are looking at is to ensure pre-recorded videos are played prior to live broadcast on mobile.
