Default Dynamic instance in EC2 questions

We currently host our own wowza server. We have a customer that has some events where we will need the ability to stream to more viewers. Is it possible to use our current server as the origin and spin up the Amazon EC2 instance on demand as an edge servers. Do they need to be configured each time you launch an instance?

I know there use to be a daily license but I do not see that. in EC2 there is a bring your own and a standard. So do I purchase the monthly licenses from wows or just use the standard in EC2.

    TIA
    Josh

    Hello,

You can use one of the pre-built Wowza AMIs available here: http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....mazon-EC2-AMIs
You can quickly fire-up one of these instances and use your own Wowza license on the newly created server.
Starting with Wowza 4, the daily subscription license is not available anymore.
