Wow, sorry. I'll take that off my cheat-sheet. In that case, take a look at the Silverlight players in the /examples folder where Wowza is installed. This shows current bitrate of stream.
Your recordings do need to be key frame aligned. Some encoders don't do this very well. We have found that Expression 4 Encoder works. I have heard that Handbrake works. There is not a direct way to debug key frame alignment in a file set, but you can create live streams with these files using like the scheduler and this method, then debug key frame alignment of those live streams
