Camera mounted encoder

Would this camera mounted encoder be compatible with Wowza Streaming Engine?

Yep, the Teradek products work rather nicely with Wowza. If you are also using their Bond product you can actually install the Sputnik receiver software on your Linux-based Wowza server in the cloud, and it will deliver the stream directly to Wowza via the local interface without having to hop back out on the Internet. Just open ports 5111 and 1957.

Hello,

The link you sent describes a Teradek Cube encoder.

We have had several customers using successfully this encoder with their Wowza server installation.

Normally, any encoder that is capable of publishing an RTMP or RTSP/RTP stream, as long as they are inline with these streaming protocols, should be compatible with Wowza server.

Hello,

The Bond II should will with Wowza Streaming Engine using the RTMP Streaming instructions on their QuickStart Guide.

Broadcast Configuration

RTMP Streaming

1.Select RTMP as the Stream Mode.

2.Enter the server URL. Depending on your destination (local server or CDN), this will look similar to rtmp://WowzaStreamingEngineAddress:1935/live.

3.Enter the stream name. For many platforms this is found with the server URL.

4.Click Apply.

5.Start/stop the stream with the buttons on the Stream Settings page or with the Stream Joystick

Best regards,

Andrew

I just watched this video https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-connect-the-teradek-cube-to-wowza-streaming-engine and it looks like Cube is integrated with wowza, but Bond II isn’t?

There isn’t an area to add in the configuration URL. The only options in Stream settings in the Bond console is RTMP or Live Stream that is integrated with ustream. Does wowza work with the upgraded Bond II?
