    Default Synchronize loadbalanced segmeters

    Hi there
    I have two servers with wowza streaming engine installed. They are restreaming and segmenting icecast-audiostreams for HLS and HDS.

    I'd like to cache this content with a reverse-proxy (nginx). In order to do that, the segments and stream must be in sync on both servers. Is there a possibilty to do that?

    If no, is there a way to name my segments by timestamp, not with an incrementing numer or randomly as described in your docs?

    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    Yes, you can set cupertinoCalculateChunkIDBasedOnTimecode Property in the Application.xml /LiveStreamPacketizer Properties container:

    <Property>
     <Name>cupertinoCalculateChunkIDBasedOnTimecode</Name>
     <Value>true</Value>
     <Type>Boolean</Type>
    </Property>

    Does this work for audio-only streams as well?
