Default Possibility to use WOWZA as client?

    Hi
I am wondering if I could use WOWZA as a client and poll streaming data from the devices..

Instead of using middle ware like wirecast, is it possible to use WOWZA only to connect to the device and get the streaming data from it?

    Thank you

    Hi,
I think what you are saying is: instead of devices pushing streams to Wowza, you're asking if Wowza can pull streams from devices, or other servers?
If that's the case, then yes. In fact one example of this pulling an RTSP stream from an IP camera or IP encoder.
    This guide details how.

    Hi,

You might also find the "How to create and use .stream files in Wowza Streaming Engine Manager" forum article useful.
