Thread: log file on origin server is very large when connect with edge server

    Default log file on origin server is very large when connect with edge server

    Hi Everybody

    we found a log file on origin server is large than nomally when edge connect

    in normal case log is 100MB per day

    but when we setup edge repeat live stream form origin log size is 1GB ++ per day

    how to solve this problem

    - origin server setup normal live stream
    - edge server setup live-repeater and config in application.xml with

    sorry for sample log i can't open it T_T

    Without seeing the log files, it's hard to say. Are you having any issues with playback on the edge server?
    it could be a connectivity problem which is causing extra logging. So we can investigate further, please create a ticket by sending an email to

    Include a ZIP file containing the following directories:

    Please make sure you provide logs which show Wowza server starting.

    If you are not sure how to get this information please see the following tutorial.
    How to create a compressed zip file in Windows, OS X, and Linux

    - If you have a live stream please outline the type of encoder in use along with the encoding settings for the stream.
    - If you are using a .stream file to start re-streaming please provide this.
    - If you are using multiple bitrates (ABR) then please provide the SMIL file associated with your configuration.
