    Default Video Quality

The streamed video quality from Wowza Streaming Engine is much worse than that of original video.
The client is using a Flash player built with OSMF.
Are there any settings on the server that can be changed to achieve high quality video?

    Hello,

Wowza is not re-encoding your video on demand files in order to decrease the quality of those videos.
The loss in quality might be caused by packet loss between the server and the playback client. Can you make sure that the playback clients have enough internet bandwidth in order to play back the high quality videos stored and delivered by the Wowza server.
You will need to make sure that the internet bandwidth available at client side is higher that the encoded bitrate value of your video files.

    Hello there.

Can you please provide more information about your stream.

Is it a Live stream or VOD?
If live, what encoder are you using?
What is the codec of the stream? (H.264/AAC-44.1kHz/FPS/KeyFrame Intervals/etc...)?

    Thank you,

    Salvadore

    Hi, Zoran,

The Internet bandwidth at client side is well above the bit rate of the video file.
