Default Bizarre Error Looking For Help

    Hello,

I have some really bizarre errors here and was wondering if anyone can help point me in the right direction to figuring out more about it.

    ApplicationInstance.notifyMediaCasterStreamStop: java.lang.NullPointerException
HTTPStreamerAdapterCupertinoStreamer.onMediaFile: Stream not found [hx2mg2/fridaynightcranks/media_w256186223_269.ts]: fridaynightcranks
    LiveMediaStreamReceiver.doWatchdog: streamTimeout[hx2mg2/_definst_/fridaynightcranks][1414201158448:1414201146264:12000]: Resetting connection: wowz://hx2mg2.live.cloud.influxis.com:1935/hx2mg2/_definst_/fridaynightcranks

    HTTPStreamerAdapterCupertinoStreamer.service: Request timeout: 8000

    LiveMediaStreamReceiver.doWatchdog: streamTimeout[hx2mg2/_definst_/fridaynightcranks][1414186594382:1414186582192:12000]: Resetting connection: wowz://hx2mg2.live.cloud.influxis.com:1935/hx2mg2/_definst_/fridaynightcranks

    Missing function: onStatus

We get these with varying levels of intensity / frequency and people have trouble streaming. It is fixed when we reboot it.

    The server specs:

    3 GHz 20 thread Intel E5-2690 processor
    8 GB DDR3 memory
    10 Gbps PCIe card x2
    Windows Server 2012

    Java Version:

    Picked up JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS: -Duser.language=en -Duser.country=US -Dfile.encoding=UTF8
    java version "1.7.0_21"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_21-b11)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.21-b01, mixed mode)

Thank you and let me know if you need any other information. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Default

    Hi Matthew,

It looks like some misconfiguration somewhere. Can you set up a simple live or vod application and test that it works without any modifications?

If it's happening there too, I'd suggest zipping up your /conf and /zip directories and raising a ticket by sending them to support@wowza.com with as much detail as you can add about when it happens, which app you're using, include any stream or smil files if used, and include a link to this thread

    Kind regards,

    Paul
