Default Url Changes every few minutes or seconds

    Hi
Im thinking of upgrading to the latest Wowza Streaming Engine.
Now i'm very concerned about leeching (people stealing my streams) so i've done some research by looking on other sites that use wowza,
I've noticed that some sites that use wowza have the ability so that there streaming url changes every few seconds like for example:

    rtmp://xxx.xxx.xx.xx/edge?token=120f10601c4299ddbb33efced0654283&bid=11&pid=5&uid=44710&did=73b9f98ff6ae54da565d4ec89e273c53&g=1&gm=1&platform=1/569?token=120f10601c4299ddbb33efced0654283&bid=11&pid=5&uid=44710&did=73b9f98ff6ae54da565d4ec89e273c53&g=1&gm=1&platform=1
A Few Seconds Later On The Same Stream the url Changes To This:

    rtmp://xxx.xxx.xx.xx/edge?token=776671c20bae01cbd1473451e845f540&bid=11&pid=5&uid=44710&did=73b9f98ff6ae54da565d4ec89e273c53&g=1&gm=1&platform=1/569?token=776671c20bae01cbd1473451e845f540&bid=11&pid=5&uid=44710&did=73b9f98ff6ae54da565d4ec89e273c53&g=1&gm=1&platform=1
So this is VERY appealing to me but how would i go about setting this up please im quite new to this so a step by step instruction guide would be amazing if possible.

    Hi
If you're looking to use SecureToken then I recommend that you take a look at the following tutorial.
How to protect streaming using SecureToken in Wowza Streaming Engine

You can also find an article on how to configure the JW player with SecureToken
How to add SecureToken protection to JW Player

    Hi,

You can use additional parameters when generating the HASH key suck as token start time and token end time. This will specify an interval in which the generated token is valid. All playback requests, using that particular token that are placed outside that time interval will be rejected for playback.
Using Secure Token V2, you can also enforce Client IP restriction in the sense that only the client IP parameter used when the HASH token was generated would be able to play back the URL using that particular token.

Please go ahead and try out the Secure Token V2 feature and if you have any troubles, don't hesitate to write us back.

    Zoran
