Default JWPlayer with SecureToken from Wowza Tutorial Should warn it does not work

According to the JWPlayer knowledge support http://support.jwplayer.com/customer...-secure-token-

Only JWPlayer Opensource will work, and you will NOT have your HLS support or cross-platform compatibility to Android, nor could you remove the watermark.

    We followed this tutorial http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....omments_153576

And found out our HLS wasn't working among other things. There needs to be a tutorial to use secure token with Commerical JWPlayer.

    Hi,

The article on adding SecureToken v2 should work for JWPlayer commercial editions as well. However, per the article notes, it only works for RTMP protocols and needs to be hard-coded into the player.

I have applied for a JWPlayer key, twice, never got an email back. The site is shutting down. Guess the loss of the <video> tag was too muh for them

Is this the correct SecureToken tutorial (http://www.wowza.com/forums/content....to-JW-Player)? So by hard-coding, do you mean make it part of the JWPlayer declaration in the HTML so that people can see it when they inspect element?

    Hi,

So by hard-coding, do you mean make it part of the JWPlayer declaration in the HTML so that people can see it when they inspect element?
From the article you listed above, you would need to change the RTMPMediaProvider.as file and enter your shared secret in this file. Your shared secret should not be part of the JWPlayer HTML declaration. You would then need to compile your customized player using Flex SDK/Builder according to JWPlayer's build instructions.
