Why Wowza server generate invalid mpd files?

I’m trying to validate mpd files generated by my wowza server, using the following sites:

• http://dashif.org/conformance.html

• http://www-itec.uni-klu.ac.at/dash/?page_id=605

  but the file not valid and the validation error is:

  "Line:Col[74:67]:cvc-complex-type.2.4.a: Invalid content was found starting with element ‘Role’. One of ‘{“urn:mpeg:dash:schema:mpd:2011”:Representation}’ is expected.

  MPD validation not successful - DASH is not valid!"

  also I tried to play it using https://dash-mse-test.appspot.com/dash-player.html and it is not working.

  not: it is work with JWPlayer

  my question is: Why Wowza server generate invalid mpd files?

Hi,

It sounds like you are able to successfully play back the DASH stream using JWPlayer. The validation message from the dashif conformance site is currently known, and our Engineering team is working on this. However, the MPEG-DASH stream playback is successful in the dashif player, and other leading DASH players as well, such as Shaka and bitmovin. If your DASH stream is failing playback with these DASH players, do send us a zip copy of your conf/ and logs/, and include a public link to your Wowza MPEG-DASH stream if possible, or a description of the live source.
