Streaming to Blackberry Device using Flowplayer

Hi There,

Using the following code im able to stream to desktops & iOS devices via Flowplayer. How do I include Blackberry devices in the following code (which I believe requires RTSP)?

Thanks!

Omar

Hi,

Check to see if the direct RTSP link on this page works on your Blackberry device.

On that same page is a http download for the file. You can also put that file on your own Wowza server in the content folder and see if that plays on the Blackberry device.

Do you have RTSP/RTP output enabled in your Wowza application settings?

What are the video/audio codecs used in your encoder? Is the output stream using a video/audio codec combination that is supported by RTSP?

Ive actually switched to JWplayer (using the Simple RTMP and Apple HLS streaming example). Now Android devices now work (in addition to iOS and Desktop). Blackberry device shows the player window but buffering icon keeps spinning without ever displaying the test video content.

Also (Not sure if this is related), we have been unable to use the RTSP ‘test players’ URL via the Wowza Streaming Engine manager. VLC is ‘unable to open the MRL’

Any ideas?

RTSP/RTP output is enabled in Wowza application settings. Im trying to playback the Wowza sample.mp4 file using VLC player.

Clicking on the image and the first Direct RTSP link played the stream on the Blackberry Z10 handset. The Direct HTTP URL returned with ‘page not found’.
