Could not open connection from Android GoCoder

Hi,

Afterg launching WSEManager on localhost I’m trying to test live streaming WSE with Android GoCoder, setting in mobile app

host: 192.168.0.100

port: 1935

app: live

stream name: myStream

login, pass

but getting Could not open connection to 192.168.0.100:1935

Also:

  • after starting WSEManager on localhost (Windows) i can’t access it (http:// 192.168.0.100:8088/enginemanager/) in android mobile browser.

  • test player rtsp://192.168.0.100:1935/vod/sample.mp4 not playing video, just displaying progressbar

How can i fix this?

Hello there and welcome to the Wowza support forum.

It sounds like you may need to port forward TCP port 1935 (in your router) to the computer running Wowza. Or on your network you need to map port 1935 to the server running Wowza.

A simple test would be to connect to the server remotely(outside of your network)

If you enter [wowza-ip]:1935 in a browser remotely, it should display Wowza version and build numbers. If not port forwarding is in order.

And use a public IP in the player. If you don’t know what it is, you can see it here: http://www.dnsstuff.com

This is a helpful resource:
