Wowza 4.6.0 HLS Live, who to add a random segment filename/timestamp?

Hi, I’m using the latest version of wowza for real-time video streaming, but I was not able to configure Cupertino to enable random name generation for segments.

I would like the segments to be random and not as below:

media_w94628688_525.ts
media_w94628688_526.ts
media_w94628688_527.ts
...

I would like the segments to be random:

media_w94628688_525_8x485d1xf5v.ts
media_w94628688_526_5r5r41g5rfgd.ts
media_w94628688_527_878sff8d4fgg.ts

Or something like that.

How could I implement this for Live Application? :o

At this time we do not support the feature of customizing the generated chunk names. This has been submitted to our enhancement request list, and it is something we may add in the future, though there is no definitive timeframe as to when we will support it. I will make sure to pass on your feedback to our product management team. Please do check back in periodically to our Software Updates page to see if your feature request has been deployed.
