Gocoder live stream orientation incorrect

When I live stream from my Android phone holding it sideways I would expect the stream to appear on the website in landscape mode. But it’s showing the live stream in portrait mode so I’m sideways.

I can’t find any settings for this. I tried the allow rotated video on and off but that did not make a difference.

I thought that wowza would detect the orientation and make the necessary adjustments? How can I get this to work.

Hello Chris,

On your device, with GoCoder open, click on the top right slider icon for options menu. Then click on the Video Settings option. Check and see if the “Allow Rotated Video” option is ON.

For the device default action of “auto rotate”, enabling and disabling auto screen rotation can be done two different ways.

The first one you can go into your settings click on display and then screen rotation and slide it over to the right.

The second way is to pull down the notification menu from the home screen and click to highlight screen rotation at the top.
