Wowza Streaming Engine 4.6.0.2 RTSP playback issue

In a live streaming application, when there is an IP address specified in the ‘Client Restriction’ of ‘Source Security’ (which is the Encoder’s IP address). Flash player can play the stream, but VLC using RTSP method cannot play the stream. If set no restriction on the ‘Client Restriction’, then VLC using RTSP can play the stream.

Please solve this issue.

You are referring to 2 different things. Can you clarify which one you need help with? I think playback restriction, but need you to confirm.

With “Source Security” that is ingest security. Encoding to the Wowza server will require a username and password. There is 1 option for RTMP and 1 option for RTSP.

For Playback restrictions, client connecting to your stream, here is a module you can implement that will do this:
