shoutcast-record broken in stream files ?

hello

ever since the upgrade to 4.5, shoutcast-record in stream files is broken in our setup; the mp4 recordings generated are unreadable (vlc indicates a lot of audio tracks up to 30-40 ).

The problem persists through 4.6.0.02.

Worflow is the standard one for an icecast 2 re-stream of audio as indicated in https://www.wowza.com/docs/how-to-re-stream-audio-from-shoutcast-icecast

for the past 5 years we have been using this (and it used to work flawlessly):

  • live encoder to icecast2 server

  • stream file with icecast2 IP address is connected to a shoutcast application in wowza (automatically from startup)

  • the application is setup to record all incoming streams

This used to work, not any more.

HOWEVER, when using recording from Incoming Streams, the recordings are OK, the mp4 files are readable.

Anyone observing the same issue ?

Can Wowza support confirm such a bug ?

bump, no answer? should I post a ticket ?

to repeat, mediacaster type shoutcast-record is broken (when pulling an aac icecast2 stream).

There is no moov atom in the mp4 recorded (so says ffmpeg when checking on the recording)
