Q: Can we use this REST API to automate the creation of transcoders from our LMS?
A: Yes, you can use the Wowza Streaming Cloud REST API to automate the creation of transcoders and add that functionality within your own Learning Management System (LMS) like Blackboard, Moodle, Desire2Learn and others. Find out more here:

Q: Can we use the Wowza Streaming Cloud REST API to programatically push streams from our Wowza Streaming Engine instances to Wowza Streaming Cloud to distribute over the Wowza CDN to viewers?
A: Absolutely. You can use both REST APIs to create hybrid solutions that take advantage of the modular integration and gives you access to the CDN capabilities of Wowza Streaming Cloud.

Q: Can I create my own monitoring desktop application using .NET?
A: Yes, you can use the cURL commands within the programming language of your choosing. Although we use Ruby as an example in this webinar, you can use your own programming language to interact with the REST API, including PHP, Python, .NET and many others. A: We just released the public preview of the Wowza Streaming Cloud REST API. All users can now request API access within their account and start building their own integrations to programmatically configure, monitor, and manage the Wowza Streaming Cloud service. Find out more at:

Q: Can I use the REST API to connect Wowza GoCoder as an encoder source to Wowza Streaming Cloud?
A: Yes, in the example we show how to access all of the encoders, including Wowza GoCoder, using the Wowza Streaming Cloud REST API. As an example, you could use the REST API to automate the process to connect GoCoder, start/stop a live stream and generate the embed code or player URLs to playback the stream on your own web site.
