Can I return my MediaDS? No, Wowza has a no return policy for MediaDS sales.
How do I get support for MediaDS, both the hardware and software? MediaDS support is exclusively provided by NewTek. NewTek support is available according to NewTek policies, which currently offer support during the first year of MediaDS ownership including online chat, email, call-back telephone support, and software updates. Visit for NewTek support options and contact information.
Why do I need software updates? What happens if I don't get them? The MediaDS feeds into the network, computing, distribution and player technologies employed within the production, web, streaming, and consumer electronics industries. As these technologies change the interplay between these systems and devices and the MediaDS may be affected, and features that previously worked in one manner may function differently, inconsistently, or potentially not at all. Customers utilizing the MediaDS within a controlled environment may find updates unnecessary, but those needing to stay current will benefit from future development through application of software updates.
What if I contact Wowza directly for support? Support for the MediaDS is exclusively provided by NewTek. While Wowza technology creates a significant advantage for MediaDS, the way in which the MediaDS interface operates and Wowza technology is invoked is developed and designed by NewTek, and as such NewTek provides all support for MediaDS customers. Customers contacting Wowza will be referred to NewTek for MediaDS support.
Can I get software updates directly from Wowza for my NewTek product? All MediaDS software updates are provided by NewTek.
