Active directory user authentication

Hi at all,

I would like to integrate Wowza users with Active Directory. Basically, instead of the standard authentication system, how can I logon the system using the accounts from my Windows Domain?

Please, do you have any suggestion?

Hello Maurizio,

We don’t have built-in support for Active Directory. We do provide some example modules that can be used to integrate Wowza with a separate authentication system (e.g. using an SQL database).

Please see this article for an example of how that may be achieved.

We also provide modules for adding authentication via other methods such as query parameters. Our Module Collection page has links to those.

So, there is not an easy way or an example for LDAP authentication for the WebGUI? Honestly, the password saved into a file is very weak in terms of security.
