I’m not able to go live also. Facebook Targets register at Stream targets panel but with 'error Status for Timeline, Pages, Groups or Events. Are Wowza targets suspended?

I’m having the exact same issue right now and couldn’t get it working. I’ve tried with multiple accounts with multiple settings (e.g. I increased the timeout duration through Custom tab of Stream Target).

Groups and Events are blocked even inside Wowza as targets… Only solution I guess is urgently send review and submit it to Facebook > https://developers.facebook.com/ads/blog/post/2018/05/01/dev-app-graph-api-30-blog/?src=blogemail and also be aware of new change> Facebook’s Share dialogs for web, iOS and Android. from https://developers.facebook.com/ads/blog/post/2018/04/24/platform-product-changes/?src=blogemail

Yes same problem Wowza targets are blocked

Hello,

  1. You should be able to again add Facebook Stream Targets to broadcast to pages.

The following is an additional recommendation that will allow you better success in connecting to a Facebook Page from your Wowza Streaming Engine instance.

You will want to add the following custom property to the Facebook Page Stream Target.

Select the Stream Target, and hit the Edit icon, then click on the custom tab, then click Add Custom Property:

The for the name enter: facebook.readWriteTimeout

Select Type “Integer”

Set the Value to 15000:

Click Add, then click save and then you can enable (or re-enable) the Facebook Page Stream Target.

Please let me know if you are still facing issues with this specific type of Facebook Live Stream Target

  1. In regards to reaching Groups on Facebook Live:

We apologize for the experience you are having within Wowza Streaming Engine pushing to FaceBook. We have determined that this issue appears to be related to a recent API change affecting communication with the FaceBook platform. We are working with Facebook toward a resolution and will provide updates as they become available, but have no definitive timeline for an updater.

In the meantime, as a workaround, you can create a generic RTMP stream target going to this Facebook page.

Wowza Streaming Engine Manager -> Applications -> Application Name -> Stream Targets -> Add Stream Target -> Generic RTMP ->

Something like the below should work:

To find this stream key:

Setup and Preview

  1. First, log in to your Facebook Page and select Publishing Tools in the top navigation bar.
  2. On the left menu, click on the Video Library option under the Videos section.

  1. Click on the + Create button to begin configuring your Live post.
  2. Click on the Live Video button
  3. Click on the Connect button to begin connecting your encoder (streaming software) to Facebook

*Please make sure that you see the live stream in your preview page before selecting “Go Live” button.

I hope this clarifies the current situation and we want you to know that our Developers have been working on a solution for you and all of our Wowza Streaming Engine customers.

Thanks in advance,
