but my browser says that this file is not existing. I have tried also to open the manifest file with VLC but it is unable to play it. I am using wowza 4.3 running on a Windows 7. The stream source is a live broadcast encoder who is streaming UDP multicast. I am using the wowza transcoder and my incoming stream is active as well as the 2 profiles which I have created. In the monitoring tab I se only the incoming traffic but not the outgoing traffic. I think the transcoder is transcoding only if it gets a request but I am not sure.
Any ideas, what the problem could be will be highly appreciated. :)
It is possible that when you were downloading the chunklist, that it had expired already. Are you able to playback the HLS playlist URL in VLC? Are you able to playback the stream with a different format, such as RTMP or HDS, from the Manager Test Player?
Unfortunately I cannot test the HLS in the test browser because it says that my browser does not support nor HLS nor HTML5, which is kind of strange. I have tried it with Google Chrome and Firefox, both on Windows and Linux.
HLS is not natively supported for playback on Windows and Linux Chrome/Firefox browsers. This is only natively supported for Safari browsers on iOS/OSX devices.
In going over the log info you provided, I do not see the packetizers starting up for your transcoded streams. It could be that the SMIL file is not configured correctly, there is a problem with the transcoding process, or there is an issue with the source stream. It would be best if we can review your complete configuration and complete logs so that we can further investigate why you are getting the error.
