    Default HLS EXT-X-I-FRAMES-ONLY support

    Hello,

We are trying to implement fast-forward/slow-motion support for VOD content using HTTP Live Streaming on iOS. According to https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-pa...ing-07#page-14, iOS devices can implement efficient fast-forward by using I-Frames (using EXT-X-I-FRAMES-ONLY tags).

I am guessing this is currently not supported (please correct me if I am wrong), but I would like to know if this on the road map at all.

    Thank you

You're right, it is not support at present. Only flv containing Spark or VP6 video and NellyMoser audio with a Flash RTMP client is supported for trick play.

It is a possible future feature, but I do not have a time frame for that.

    Any news on I-FRAMES-ONLY playlists?
