    Thanks.

Hello there and welcome to the Wowza support forum.

VLC is a very stable platform. It can be used for playback, troubleshooting and as a live encoder:
How to configure VLC media player for RTSP/RTP playback (RTSP/RTP interleaved and tuning)
How to use VLC as a live stream encoder with Wowza Media Server (MPEG-TS)

On the other hand, VLC does not support Adaptive Bitrate Streaming, DRM encryption or Dynamic Load balancing. Just to name a few limitations.

    kind regards,

    Salvadore

    Hi Salvadore,

    again, why someone will use:
How to configure VLC media player for RTSP/RTP playback (RTSP/RTP interleaved and tuning) I did follow these instructions, but VLC failed to play the videos
How to use VLC as a live stream encoder with Wowza Media Server (MPEG-TS)

Since Wowza supports Adaptive Bitrate Streaming, DRM encryption or Dynamic Load balancing. Just to name a few limitations.

    Thanks,
