Question by dfs dfsasa · Feb 23, 2012 at 02:58 PM ·

latest version of wowza IDE

Prior to download and install I want to know what the latest version of wowza IDE is.

Could not find it; neither on your site nor the forum.

Can you provide me with a link where I can find it, also for the future.

Thank you!

Hi

Yes I did, click the link then scroll to the bottom, or click on "Wowza IDE" on the right hand side of the page.

Currently the latest version is Wowza IDE 2 which is what is mentioned in the link I provided for you.

Did you read the answer? ;)

I was also looking for it, while searching my HD, i finally found it!

Perhaps others are having the same issue like me (i dont quite und eclipse or neither have the time to learn it)

For now you can get it from here: http://eleden.net/download/WowzaIDE-2.0.0.msi (Microsoft Installer)

What i have not clue right now, is, if is its modules or calls are 100% compatible with WOWZA STREAMING ENGINE.

That its to find out.

Thanks.

Information for developers is available from the Developers page

Instructions for installing the Wowza IDE as an eclipse plugin are available here, http://www.wowza.com/streaming/developers/wowza-ide-software-update

The standalone installer is not currently available.

When using the IDE for the first time with Wowza Streaming Engine >= 4.0, you will have to set the location of your Wowza Streaming Engine installation in the IDE. You will be prompted for this location when you create your first Wowza project.

The link on the Wowza IDE page ( http://www.wowza.com/wowzaide4/content.xml) is replying with an empty page so I can't install in Eclipse. Is this no longer supported?

When you click on "Download Installer (75 MB)" then you get the version.

Hello,

You will need to download and install Eclipse if not already: https://eclipse.org/downloads/

On the Help tab, click Install New Software.

In the Available Software dialog, click Add.

In the Add Repository dialog, enter the following information and then click OK.

Name - Enter Wowza.

Location - Enter http://www.wowza.com/wowzaide4/

Note: To download the Wowza IDE package, you must enter the URL in the Eclipse interface as the repository's location. If you enter the location URL in a web browser, an HTTP 403 error is returned.

In the Available Software dialog, check the box next to Wowza IDE 4 and then click Next.

In the Review Licenses dialog, select I accept and then click Finish.

Follow the remaining prompts to install the software and restart Eclipse.

Here's the latest guide as well for How to extend Wowza Streaming Engine using the Wowza IDE:

https://www.wowza.com/forums/content.php?759-How-to-extend-Wowza-Streaming-Engine-using-the-Wowza-IDE

I used Luna on Ubuntu 16 and cannot download. Here is the note from the site

Note: The Wowza IDE package won't work with Eclipse IDE version 4.4 (Luna) on Ubuntu 16.x operating systems. Be sure to install the most recent Eclipse version on Ubuntu 16 operating systems.

After upgrading to Oxygen, I'm able to download the SDK.
