avSyncToleranceEnable and avSyncTolerance settings

We frequently have Audio/Video sync issues and currently have avSyncToleranceEnable set to false. The only thing preventing me from enabling it is the wording of the last phrase in the tool tip: “the stream is considered unhealthy and is reset.”

What exactly is meant by “reset”? Will the people watching the stream need to reconnect? Does the person originating the stream have to restart? What happens when the stream is considered unhealthy and is reset?
